Hello,

I've major issue with new Toposolid in Revit 2024.

The Toposolid doesn't match the DWG !

On 2023, each point was exactly on the dwg lines, here's it's totally different.

I'm speachless.

Thank you.

Is your DWG placed in a level higher than your ground level? Perhaps you may want to create a sea level datum and placed the DWG in there. If this isn't the issue, check the project and survey base point. See if there is a level that is moved to certain elevation which confuse the Revit datum point.

Attach the DWG to the post for people to troubleshoot and see if they get the same result.

Hello,

The dwg is on ground level with a topography on sea level. Base and topo points are on elev. 0.

The same dwg works perfectly on 2023. Very strange ...

Thank you.

It seems the processing of the contours by toposolid finction is having trouble finding the "edge". The contours along the long edge are very long and maybe are composed of arcs, it is hard to tell. either way the edges of the toposolid element are very complex. There are also very few points along those long contours on the edge. This is leading to weird cut in edges and "valleys through the toposolid. You can see the strange edge in green and how there are very few points to work with here.

By just editing the sketch of the toposolid and replacing the long edge with one big arc, it starts to clear out most of the weirdness. I think if a few more points were added, it would get pretty close. So there is some manual work that needs to be done here to get it closer to what you need. Here it is with just the one change to the sketch edge.

I am not surprised this worked better in 2023 with a toposurface element. Mostly because a sketch edge of the element was not needed. Points could be projected and the edge was just a function of the points position. Here the edge is harder to find.

Thank you for your help loboarch.

This topo is one of the easiest we have on office. I'll go back Revit 2023.

Editing the file of the surveyor is the last thing an architect should do.

When i recheck the toposolid, none of point matches, its like more or less 50cm.

This type of error can cost millions of euros of losses. Autodesk is disconnected from reality.
