Hi, Can anyone tell me why I lose the transparency when rendered? The below is using a polycarbonate façade manufactured by Everlite. Just playing with colours so not the finished article. First image the model and second one rendered. Yes I know different colours but the effect is the same. The entrance door is cut out ( obviously ) but the windows might be hidden behind the façade when built, but then again might not!
Did you try the Highest quality settings? Lower quality settings may not reveal a subtle translucency like that.
I thought it was. When a render is done and saved, can you check what the settings it was created at?
Thank you for your post. In this case, the render could be affected by a few different things (quality settings, transparency, object, material, etc.). In this case, are you rendering in the cloud or from the local engine of Revit?
To adjust, have you tried to re-render with the settings adjusted as mentioned by @ToanDN? This may also work in comparing a local render to the cloud render as I have seen mixed results in transparencies between one over the other. To also help I have included a helpful link on adjusting render appearance properties. Please also take a look at this link below.
Additionally, and a older article but still applicable at the core on troubleshooting rendering materials and issues, http://revitclinic.typepad.com/my_weblog/2010/05/troubleshooting-revit-material-rendering.html
If adjusting the materials, and retesting does not render a differing image, please reply back with a copy of the model in question for testing and compare overall results (or just a sample of the model wall in question). Thank you and we look forward to your reply.

I've found that I often need to up the transparency value percentage when applying a translucent material of greater thickness that that of say a window pane. (it looks ok in realistic view, but not when rendered) I can only presume this is due the the thickness of the overall object having an effect e.g. the same material when applied to say a window pane 20mm and a wall of 200mm doesn't render the same.
