Section view on plan vs crop view depth

Please see attached image here.

 

I would like to know how far deep from the view depth (1800  view depth as in image) crop region has to be to see section in plan before mark disappears from the plan. As I move crop region up the section mark disappears and I cant figure out why  it does 

 

how does the revit decide when to disappear section mark from plan even though its well below view depth from associated level

What level is the floor plan in your image?  What is its View Range?  The section must be, at the minimum, touching the Top or the Bottom of the floor plan's View range.

I think I got it. 

When crop region is outside of Top view range that's the point when it starts to disappear
