Good afternoon I am beginning to learn REVIT 2025 for the first time but I am having a problem with Revit when trying to create a roof by extrusion. I can successfully create the general shape of the roof, but then the video I follow has me use the outline of the house floor plan to cut the edges of the roof to match the house walls - to do this the video adds a vertical opening to cut the roof using the model lines then selecting the roof lines and adding a rectangle around the roof so that the roof excess is cut off. However when I try to press 'OK" I receive the error:
"When creating am opening, you cannot sketch loops within other loops. The highlighted loop(s) are contained within another loop."
However I did not add anything that the instructor hadn't and am having trouble finding the loop in question. Does anyone have experience with this problem?
