Loading Mass Families

Hello - my REVIT 2017 shuts down when I try to load in a Mass Family.  Any ideas as to why this might be happening?  I have a student version and am doing "projects" to add to my portfolio, and need to utilize the Mass functions (both In Place and Place Mass).

A mass you created, or an OOTB Mass. If created, try opening the Mass Family with Audit checked, save and load then into Project.
