Links are displaying in grey in one view

Hey Im doing a detail drawing and have a bunch of links loaded into my project. For some reason the cut lines in the view are displaying in halftone and I cant figure out why. 

I tried to find the reason in my view template but didnt succeed. Any thoughts on how to fix this?

Are you sure they are coming from the links?  If so, they must be Model Lines or Datums since Links are set to BY HOST.  That help?  In other words, the Parent Project settings are in charge, so to speak.  Can you TAB-Select these lines?  Override in View By Element?

since the lines belong to a roof in this case I cant select the lines individually. But when I select the roof I also cant override graphics in view. So it seems like it is locked somewhere. The weird thing is that I was able to change the view template and the elements werent half tone anymore, so it is possible to change it somewhere in VG I just dont know where...

You don't have access to it because there is a View Template applied. But you can identify it. What is it? Check the Properties of the element when you TAB-Select it.   That's what you are looking for under VGOs=>Revit Links in the Template.

...wait a minute. Links are BY HOST. Whatever it is, is controlled by the Parent Project Category settings.

exactly it doesn't necessarily have anything to do with the links, I set everything regarding the links to by host view and I also overrode the 1 (<not shared>) parameters. nothing changed.

No, don't override, leave them as they are.

Did you check the links' phase mapping?

its a BIM360 file so I dont think youll be able to open it. And through save as the file path for the links will stop working.

Can you state the issue again?  It's that the element is halftoned; right?  Is Grey Inactive Worksets checked?

Not that.  Phase mapping as in selecting a link and Edit Type.
