Linking Revit to 3ds Max

Hi im new to revit and am trying to link a project to 3DS Max. However it comes up with needing revit interoperability, which wont download, does anyone know how i can get around this or why i am unable to download it?

Any help would be greatly appreicated

Hi Tiffany,

What do you mean "trying to link a project to 3DS Max." ?

What do you want 3DS Max to DO with a Revit project?

No, you can just link the Revit file directly with Max - we do it here occasionally and just link it using the import option and selecting 'Revit' - I don't recall having to add in anything else to make it work but I did set it up quite a while ago.  What version of Revit are you using?

"Export Revit file to FBX & import in 3Ds Max"

How do you export an RVT file to FBX?

I thought you could only export a 3D view to FBX.
