I have a main model (landscape) with several instances of a linked model (building). The linked model has a nested link (balconies). I want to have two different balconies and be able to chose in the main model which house to have which balcony type. Driving me crazy that I cant figure out how to do it, please help me out! ![]()
It can either be one balcony-file with two versions or two different balcony-files, which ever works. Each house link in the main model only needs to be able to have one balcony type.
Thanks!
Victoria

You can achieve this using workset . Simply create the same workset in the link model and in the central. Create workset called BALCONY 01 and make it show all. Create another workset called BALCONY 02 and turn off make it show all. Once you have everything set, you can control the visibility by turn the workset ON/OFF.
If you don't want to use workset, then your other alternative is to create link by view. This means you create views where you want to turn ON one of the balcony and then create another view with another balcony showing. Once you set both of those views, in the main model you simply click on Visibility Graphics>Revit link>link by view.
You can do it through Design Options as well. Place the Balconies in different Design Options, Link the Building with the Balconies into the Site Project and under the View's Visibility and Graphics overrides: Revit Links, set Basic Tab and Design Option Tab "Custom" and select the Link's Design Option to show in the Parent View.
