Linked Model not cropping to scope box in 3d views....?

Hello everyone, so I am working on a set of unit plans and creating some isometric views.  I've done this quite a few times over my past year of employment here and had no issue.  Today, I am following the same protocol : set up a scope box for each unit plan, create a 3d view, assign the scope box to the view, and add our view template.  However, today when I zoom-to-fit, my view is not zooming in on the unit and seems to still be picking up the extents of the entire link.  Anyone ever run into this issue?  Any ideas?  I've tried several things but aside from manually cropping the view (which isn't good b/c we may want a different (rotated) perspective), I can't get the scope box to crop the link/view.  Any feedback would be awesome, thanks!!The problemThe problemThe desired view (selected the linked model for perspective)The desired view (selected the linked model for perspective)

Could be a linked cad file extensions causing to zoom so far.
Scope box won't' crop the 3D view, but a Selection box will.

Any way to disable that? I tried turning off the imported CAD stuff in the template but didn't get results.

  • Uncheck CAD Files: In both your model and any linked Revit files, make sure to uncheck all CAD files
  • Duplicate 3D View: Create a duplicate of the existing 3D view and delete the original view. This will help to refresh the view and clear any issues.
  • Position the Model: Adjust the model’s position so that it is close to the project internal origin.
