Hello,

In the attached image, is a column (contained in a linked ifc structure model) and some plaster walls - basic walls families. Is there a way to hide the walls lines intersecting the column?

Are you meaning that you want to clean up the intersection between Link Walls and Project Walls?  If so, no can do.

Yes they can be cleaned up but only if you follow the proper collaboration workflow between Architectural and Structural (See GIF below) ...If you do not to follow the conventional Structural / Architectural workflow, there are more than 4 possible ways to hide those line (See Link HERE)

Thank you for your advice. I don't understand though what do you mean by proper  collaboration workflow between Architectural and Structural. Also, in my case the link is an IFC created in other software, not revit link.IFC-2.jpg

Its a workflow you can find lots of online resources on this topic. Simply underlaying or linking a model regardless if it is IFC/RVT/DWG or whatever format is not really collaboration 🙂 ... at least in MPO. And usually when an architect and a structural engineer collaborate, they have shared key elements between their models.

Some collaborate based on that principle with the goal to achieve a confederated model at the end and others prefer to live in the world of their own discipline and simply stick to underlays (unconventional collaboration) this is where you resort to graphic tricks to achieve the clean up you are after. Example: Below Gif is a Model with IFC Structural columns masking the walls in an Architectural Model...

Sorry I cannot elaborate more on the topic during office hours
