Linked Files - Impossible to Measure to Core of Linked Wall?

It seems that when using linked file, it is impossible to measure to the core of linked walls.

Is there a workaround to this? It seems like this limitation has been around for many many years. I'd hate it to go on for another 8 years.

It works fine for me.

Use Tab key to tab into linework of wall (put your mouse cursor point on the line, then Tab to highlight it).  Left click the highlighted line and do the same for the other wall.....I can use the Measure command as well as the Aligned Dimension command.

I can snap dimensions to finish faces, core faces, and wall center. But not Core center.

@dzanta Is your wall core center the same as your wall center?

I already tested tabbing with no luck.
