Linked CAD File showing differently in Revit

Hi I am trying to link CAD dwg into revit however once linked, some of the components seem to move. 

I have created a new project and linked the CAD file, and it works perfectly fine. The DWG doesnt link correctly in my current project.  This is why I think it may be something within Revit that needs changed or I've done something wrong?

I have tried every solution I could find but still not getting anywhere.  DWG is attached, I have also attached image of what happens in current project once linked, and then new project.  

any help is greatly appreciated.

Lasso all the DWG elements and Explode them, Save DWG and Link that Exploded DWG Version into Revit.  How's it look now?

I wouldnt have thought possible, but could it be a setting within Revit that is affecting this?  I have since loaded into another project with no problems, just this project.

Explode more than a time.Sometimes there is the Block in the Block ,be sure all the drawing is line not block .

I dont see any problem.

Okey, maybe just drag and drop autocad file in your project, and why you draw the autocad section so far from your center of axis.

Hi @marcFM76X,

When I place the view in a section the import has elements that don't come up on the correct position, my guess is that it will only display correct in a plan view due some properties of the elements in the DWG.

I have tried other dwg's and they show up fine in all viewtypes (and they also have blocks in them)

Some things to consider:

1. the dwg has a it's geometry quite a distance from origin, move it closer or better direct in the dwg origin.

2. Has the dwg Curtain profile maybe a Z-value (I can't check, don't have AutoCad installed here)

I havent resolved this just done a work around instead. I tried all of the above which didn't work,  tried inserting to other projects with no problems, no idea how this happened, perhaps a bug within Revit.

Hi Marc ,

If you cannot reach a solution, you can explode the drawing in AutoCAD and then transfer it to Revit to restore the drawing to its original state. I hope I have been of assistance.
