Link disappears when hiding a workset not associated to the link

I keep running into an issue where the link will disappear if I hide a default workset. I double checked to see if the link was still on the "workset1" which it isn't but still acts as if it is. Is there something hidden somewhere that's keeping this locked on the default workset?  Below is the screencast.

If the linked elements are under Workset1, or if the links are created in Revit LT, or the links are not workshared (no worksets), then hiding or closing Workset1 in your host model will hide the links. 

Also, Workset names are transparent thru nested links, links, and host.

I had forgot about this. Remember seeing someone with a similar issue a while back.
