Linework Tool Works on Linked One DWG, But Not Another DWG

I've linked two DWG's into my Revit project, one at the first floor, and another at the second floor. All import settings were identical. I can use the linework tool to change any of the first floor Linked DWG lines to any line type. The linework tool will not work on any lines of the second floor DWG. What could be the problem?

Can you confirm the 2nd floor CAD link was linked in with or without the Current View Only box ticked? One way to do it is duplicating the 2nd floor plan but without detailing or as a dependent.

Thx ToanDN. Both linked CAD files had the current view only box checked. I've even linked the DWG file that works with the linework tool on the first floor onto the second floor, but the linework tool will not work on it up there.

I am pretty sure that you cannot use linework tool on DWGs linked in with Current View Only box checked. Try relink them in without that box checked and you will be able to do it.

Check in AutoCAD to make sure both files have lineweight set to by default. If there is a lineweight associate with layer or by line object, it will override Revit's lineweight.

I didn't see a conclusion to this dicussion. Were your comments valid? can you use the linework tool when the current view box is ticked when linking CAD files?

No.  You cannot use Linework tool on the link DWG when Current view only box is ticked.
