Linework in Details - Cut Profile Lines - Help

I'm working a a detail drawing. In the detail I used the cut profile function to make the detail look right. However, when I use the linework tool to change the weight of the line I cannot select the profile lines. Any thoughts on how to override?

Cut profiles are considered detailing and Linework tool only works on model elements.  You can use detail components and detail lines to furnish detail views when the two options above don't suffice.

I understand most of what you said. Could you possibly give an example of how to drop the line weights down?

As I already set, you cannot use Cut Profile on anything but model elements.  To change lineweight of a detail component, draw the detail lines (or region boundary lines) using different subcategories and assign different lineweights to them.
