Hey there, i have problem with the line projection that i cant solve.

I need specific lines for a project meaning Linestyle and thicknes but somehow whatever i do, the lines keep the same thicknes. I dont know if there is something wrong with the settings or if im just too stupid.
I recieved specific lines as an dwg file to use for this projekt but for some reason revit doesnt show them in the right style and thicknes. It doesnt matter in which view im in, the thicknes always stays the same.

So this is the project right nowSo this is the project right nowSo i change the settings for Style and projectio/thicknesSo i change the settings for Style and projectio/thicknesNow only the style has changedNow only the style has changed

have a look at:

  • Manage > Additional Settings > Line Width - to see if the correct settings are made
  • View > Graphics> Thin Lines ( shortcut TL) - uncheck this option

I think it would be ...Dünne Linien (DL).  No?  Smiley Wink

You may be right, as long as the interface is in German.

But we have to be careful not to make any mistake....  If I'm looking at the German interface I see that Line Weights appear as Linenstaerken and  Thin Lines appears as Feine Linien with shortcut TL - so the shortcut remains the same as in English.

Interesting is that there are different commands in UK vs US interface. Take the example of Cope command (CP shortcut) that in UK interface appear as Notch ( but with the same CP shortcut).

It's true that we can customize the shortcuts via Options ......but by default they are the same as in US English...

That's fun to know, @constantin.stroescu . Thanks for sharing.  By the way, what part of the world are you from? What nationality do you claim?

hi BarthBradley

I'm from Romania , which is in EU . Our work standards  in design and construction field are mostly similar with German and EU continental standards.  As an example: we use Project Units Meters and Centimeters ,  while in UK are millimeters. We use millimeters only for furniture design.
