Highlited revit family and cannot upload to project

Hi, 

I am having trouble in downloading opening and inserting family to project.

when I download the file and I open it on Revit it is all highlighted and there is no option to upload to project.

That is a project file, not a family file.

Thanks for letting me know. is there a way I can load it into project?

Copy and paste from that file to your Project.

Project into Project could also be accomplished via Load as Group on the Insert tab.   This will load the Project into the Project Browser as a Model Group.
