I am using Revit 2017 and I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions on overwriting lines in Revit? The 2 best ways you should be able to do this do not work properly. I have attached a couple images of a screenshot from one of my projects.
The First issue, Override Graphics Option: (See attached "Override Graphics Option:)
I have noticed for sure in 2017, (and maybe 2016 too??) that when I select any type of family, and try to overwrite the line thickness it does nothing. In this example this wall that I have selected is in the background so I would like the lines to show up thin, but when i try to overwrite, as you can see, the line thickness has not changed to where it says it should be at.
The Second issue, Linework Override: (See "Linework Ovverride Option")
When you use the Linework overwrite (Modify > View > Linework) I can the look that I would like, but now the lines that should be hidden behind another object are showing through.
Since neither of these options work properly, we have been drawing over the elevations with lines. (Which obviously defeats the purpose of using this software) Has anyone else gotten these commands to work properly? Or how are your firms handling this? Does Autodesk have any plans to fix these issues?! This would be tremendously helpful to have these commands working properly!
Thanks in advance!
