Is there a way to display a level name without the elevation value, aside from hiding the elevation in view and making one with the level annotation and a gridline?

Create the Family.  Create the Type.

@Anonymous: I thought for sure this tread would be closed out by now. Do you know how to apply a different Symbol Head to a Level?

I do I just cant use the file you sent because it is newer than 2017, which the project I'm doing is in, so I just haven't gotten to messing with it

Not hard to replicate.

1. Open up your Level Head Family.

2. Associate the Visibility Parameter of the Elevation label to an On/Off Parameter in the Family

3. Create two Family Types: one Type with the On/Off Parameter checked, and the other Type with the  On/Off Parameter unchecked.

4. Load into Project and use.
