I am starting a new project and one of the first tasks is to make an area plan for cost estimating. We have some pre-existing images that we have brought in (to scale) to our area plan view. My question is this:
Is there a way to place colored area regions over a jpeg image and still be able to see the image linework from underneath? I have tried making the color scheme location "background" but this doesn't seem to help. Moving the Jpeg image to the "foreground" masks the color scheme of the area plan.
I thought about converting the image to a transparent png but from what I've read, Revit does not support transparent images. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Solved! Go to Solution.
You can add transparency to the Area object. First just use comments and add Transparency
Then create filter
Then set it to 60% and it will see thru your JPG
Thank you!@ Problem solved.
