Brick cladding as curtain panel?

Hi all,

I'm trying to create a brick cladding facade similar to the one on Tate modern in London, UK.

As of now, I think of using different curtain panels for each level, since the higher the level, the less bricks ought to be.

Please see attached images.

Is it possible to create a single curtain panel with an instance parameter to only control number of bricks?

What do you think is the best way to go in such case?

Thank you in advance.

I'd better use a Material - (Metal as based) with Cutouts

Here is a rough example (the masks are made in Photoshop):

  • the Cutout mask (you have to change it to negative):

  • the Bump Mask:

  • the Material settings (for the wall):

  • and the final look:

Honestly, this is what I thought should do the work. For a single "wall", it works flawless.

The difficulty comes when joining two or more "walls", notably corners. It seems every first/last brick in the curtain panel itself will come what might be outside the connecting wall(s).

Avoiding joining walls appears to work.

Thanks you, again.

No problem. If you have family building skills, you can tell the end brick to have different width size. I made the brick itself to have parameter for you to manipulate.
