Joining building pads

I have two building pads shown. The irregular shape has an incline, the circular shape has no incline. Is there a way to join these to remove the soil appearing through the two pads?

I have read this article, however changing the offset does not resolve the problem.

Are you talking about an elevation difference between adjacent pads; one's higher than the other?

It looks like you have some kind of gap between the two pads so that the topo bleeds.  Make sure the pads' boundaries match precisely.

@ToanDN: "Topo Bleed"? Is that a tech term? I like it.

@Anonymous: If these are truly adjacent, but at different heights; model it the way it would be constructed -- like put  a wall between them to close the gap and retain the earth.

I agree on what @ToanDN assessment. The Pads boundary did not matched perfectly

I have tried doing this however it does not work. Still have problem even though I am sure the boundaries follow the same line.

@Anonymous: I'm having a hard time visualizing you're condition. Can you post a different screenshot, perhaps a 3D section that is zoomed out a bit more?  Or, perhaps an RVT? 

I can replicate a condition where the topo will "bleed" through, but only if the pads are slightly separated from one another. I can't do it any other way -- even when I make their heights different (for instance, making one pad 2'-0" lower than the other).

Edit one pad, copyclip the boundary line and out. Edit the other pad, delete the coincidental boundary line, pasteclip, close the boundary and save. See if it helps.

you have to draw exactly the same line segments in the two perimeter of the building pads.

Hi

1. Use just one PAD to cut to the lowest level of the project..

2. and other PAD which you are showing on higher level, create them using Floor.. 

that way you can have a clean drawings and control over the project...

Using multiple pad make life really difficult..

I am using the platforms to calculate excavation volume and I have the same problem ... I use the same line on both sides but the problem still appears ...

try to copy the pink lines from one pad edit to the other, because sometimes the segments are not exactly the same when we redraw manualy.

The other solution are you divide the terrain, and planify the points from the divided part.
