Joined Geometry (Floor and wall) cut line color and thickness issue

Hello all. I have two situation i cannot solve. 

I have a wall and concrete false slab (architectural floor) joined using join geometry. This slab is used in our country for storage over the toilet with cat door. But the floor cut line is not as it should be inside the wall. It should be red as it's main section color i choose from vg. Making clear material and geometry cut lines for drawings. How can i make the slab lines same as red inside the walls!   Please see the images. 

Second, i have made custom structural framing family with plaster surfaces and wall with plaster surfaces. I want the core cut lines to be bold and the plaster surface cut lines to be less thick. How can i do that!

Only way around this would be to use the linework tool

not sure if this will do what you need, but have you tried playing with the Overide Host Layers settings?

I've tried this option, but it overwrites some geometries not all of them. Such as the image attached, the structural framing has a plaster surface as well, but the finish layer didn't change. Also this option overwrites cut color. As you can see, the floor and wall is all black now. 

Is there a way to use object style and add modify sub-category by materials! I've tried this way and added plaster, made the thickness low but it doesn't work. 

Only option is manually adding lineworks as @syman2000 suggested which is a lot of work.

There's seems one other issue. I am using a custom column using sweep across main structure for plaster. Plaster is sub categorized. Now, if i want just the outer plaster lines to be more visible( higher line weight) i cannot do it as it is a sweep on family editor. Both the sweep lines are thickened. Cannot find linework on family level and doing it on main drawing each a lot of work.

Do you actually need to see the plaster in a floor plan view? That kind of detail we would usually reserve for a standard wall detail or enlarged section. Often that level of detail will be seen when you set your view to a larger scale (like an enlarged view or detail 🙂).

No i don't. It all started with one thing. I want the groove lines to be shown on 3d files for other software to render out. I guess i can make the plaster surface visible only on fine detail and export the 3d that way for other 3d software's.

I made the plaster surface only visible on fine detail. But the beam family is acting weird. The plaster surface is keeping a gap between column and beam on 3d. 😞 

Is there a way to continue the plaster surface up to the column! I have attached the column and beam family here.

Hard to know what you did. However try edit the beam family and lock the plaster edge with the start and end of the concrete beam

They are locked both on elevation and in plan. I did find something weird. If i try to set the plaster of the beam family only to "medium and fine" leaving the  coarse level unchecked.... then this problem arrives.

If the coarse is active on visibility settings, then this problem does not appear. As if in coarse level, the two plaster materials of beam and column is not joining but rather joining in other detail level. 

But then this would jeopardies my target. I want to show column and beam without the plaster surface on floor plans. And on 3d, i would like the plaster surface to be shown.

Share that part of the beam that is causing issues. I like to know how it is constructed.

Here's the custom column and beam family and a test file that is using the column and beam.

It looks like it does have a cutback but in the Revit properties, it doesn't show how to turn the cutback to 0. So I have to modify the beam family to allow the plaster to extend the cutback using these parameter

Thanks again. This works perfectly. Just had to modify each beam on one floor. But still did the job as required.
