Join beams and columns

Hi Guys,

I see this is a common topic among Revit users. I am having difficulty joining beam with a column. Can anyone help me please ?

I did manage to join beam with a brick wall though using join geometry (yellow on this pic).

Thank You !

Alright I think I finally figure it out. As our team is creating this model on a basis of AutoCad drawing there are small discrepancies in between lines. Sometimes even 1mm. In this case beams and columns wont join nicely. Everything has to be perfectly aligned.

In this case anyone has a good idea how to build Revit model out of Autocad drawing without tini mistakes ? Or the whole project has to be redrawn to the dot ?

Thanx !

When Linking the Cad file into Revit, there is a check box for "Correct lines that are slightly off axis".

This will help sometimes.

I just wonder if you do not join columns with beams in this way does it show later on in the calculations (the additional material that supposed to be cut/joined )? Same for the walls joining the floors ?
