Is there a way to stop new created elements appearing in other views?

Is there a way to stop newly created elements appearing in other views apart from using the filter template option?

Long and short answer is NO. But why do you ask? We might be able to offer an alternative workflow for you.

For instance if i create a section in a ground floor, i don't want that section line symbol appearing in the first floor plan etc

What are those "elements"?

- Detail items (lines, detail components) only show in the views you created them

- Model elements?  Create a worksets and set it Not On for all views, then turn it On for the view you are going to draw the elements, then draw them in that workset

- Draw them in a Design Option

Open the section and stretch the top grip of the crop region to lower than the 1st floor level line.
