New to Revit, using 2019.2

I've applied a parameter to rooms that helps me identify guestroom types; wondering if there's a way to select rooms using the filter function then refining that selection by parameters. thanks in advance

No. But you can create a Room schedule, add the parameter, group them into a single row using that parameter, select the matching row and highlight in model.

Example:

You can add Project Parameter(s) and then create a rule-based Filter(s) that references those Project Parameter(s), as well as create Schedule(s) that includes those Project Parameters.  Then manage all those Project Parameters through the Schedule(s).

...actually, I can see a KEY SCHEDULE coming into play here.
