I have these forms/tables that have to be filled out and currently they are using instance parameters to check/un-check the box next to the option but you have to access these parameters through the properties window. When you have so many instance it becomes very convoluted. Is there a way in revit to create this type of form where you can for instance double click the square to "check" that box instead of having to scroll through all of the instances.

I assume this is a generic annotation family, like a block w/ attributes in AutoCAD might be configured to list the data.

If yes, then sorry no. A Yes/No parameter reads YES or NO when you interact/display their value in a table like you are using. To get the check boxes you are showing it must be using a visible parameter that changes what is visible according to your check box in the Properties Palette. A text parameter can be interacted with directly in canvas but the yes/no type of data doesn't.

If you want to edit it directly in the view then don't use Yes/No but text field with a special font and characters.  Below is an example.  Top one is pretty much what you have, bottom one is what I said above.

It is per room. It is modeled as a generic annotation so it can be placed as a symbol on each sheet. Then you would go through and make your selections based on the room. Which is why it would be much easier to just click the box instead of going through all the instances.

A BIMish approach is add these fields to Rooms and use schedules to present the information.  You can toggle Yes/No in the schedule to fill/ unfill the checkboxes.  But it certainly is not any faster then do it via the Properties palette.

A Key schedule filled with Yes/No parameters let you kind of do a check box type of "form" to fill out. Not sure if it works exactly like you are looking for but it is close.
