import Oracle Database into Revit

Hey, I have an Oracle database and I'm trying to import some data into Revit. Is there a way? DB Link is apparently not what I'm looking for either. There are some packages for Dynamo to read data from a database but I haven't found anything for Oracle yet.

Hi @Anonymous

Welcome to the Autodesk community!

What is the kind of project you are working on? What data types are you trying to import? Can you tell us more about your project and what the end-result you are trying to achieve?

Let me see if I can gather some feedback from the team.

There is a workflow that can bring features from an Oracle data source into Map3D, creating a feature layer in Display Manager. But then you'll have to get that data from Map3D to Revit (applicable if this is a spatial project)

Looking forward to your reply update.

Hey, Viveka_CD,

Thanks for your ideas. There are points in my database that I want to use to place my construction parts. There are also some technical data in the database that I want to link to the construction part. Since there seems to be no possibility to link the database directly with Revit, I will try to solve it using an Excel sheet.

I'll reply as soon as I can.

Hey,

it's working very well now. First I export my Data with a Query to Excel and then import it into Dynamo. Thank you very much.

Regards Tom
