Why do you need a curved reference plane?  What are you going to do with it?

Create curved grids and a mass form to see the line when cut in section.

curved plane is an oxymoron:

NOUN

  1. a flat surface on which a straight line joining any two points on it would wholly lie:
    "the horizontal plane"

    ADJECTIVE

    1. completely level or flat:
      "a plane surface"

does it have to be a "Reference Plane", a Reference Line can be curved, would that work?

i want a reference line or grid line in plan to be indicated by a vertical line in elevations and sections.

i see that elevation view can show that vertical line only if it's parallel to the camera.

What if i need to show 2 lines which none is parallel to the camera?

After seeing your clarification a few messages earlier, I don't think a reference line will work for you either. Reference Lines are used in Families an not available in Project models.

Normally id recommend what @ToanDN suggested with a Curved Grid. But as you have seen, it wont show the section line unless the section is perpendicular to the grid.

Since you have a unique circumstance, you may just need to use the Curved Grids in plan and place linework in your Sections and Elevations as needed.

I'm still not understanding, but you're in a Modeling Environment, so why can't you use MODEL elements as "RERERENCES"? You can control the references' visibility and graphical display by Element, by Category or by Filter. For example, you could use a Model LINE.

...actually, in your case, sounds like a "Reference" Wall would be better than a Model Line.

A "plane" is defined as flat/straight. You want it curved. At the moment it is curved, it is NOT a "plane" anymore. So what you are asking for is not possible by definition.

So useful.

I am thinking that if a curved element such as a wall can be created identical to the curve you would like to define as a "plane", then you might be able to use this wall's faces as a plane. Does that make sense? I am not sure if Revit can do it, but for sure human brain can grasp it.
