Is it possible to calculate volume of extrusion in family and get the value to a paramter?

Hi 

Please help me if you know how to get volume of extrusion in a family?

Revit does not provide it .

If you are driving it using Parameters you could create a Parameter's that multiplies these (Height x width x Length) But it would have to be a Shared Parameter to report in other areas of a Project

Thank you very much.

 

But i need to take from the system , Shape of the extrusion is not simple .

and there are holes included .

Not as simple as it originally sounded!!

I think you going to have to try and use the Tools inside Revit as when a Family is loaded it automatically creates the Volume automatically in the Properties Palette for that element

Create the family using generic models template then you can see the volume.  Or, create it directly in the project as an in place generic model, or as a floor.
