Invisible electrical devises

I am using version 2020 with phases: existing and new.

On the existing floor plan, I have a simple residential unit with the being the same basic 6" wall.  I have applied outlets to 2 of the walls that can be seen.  On the north wall, I tried to place another of the same outlet and poof...nothing.  Some of walls will accept a outlet and others will either not or the outlet isn't visible.  Below is what Revit throws back at me:

"None of the created elements are visible in Floor Plan: EXIST FIRST FLOOR WITH UNIT 2 Copy 1 View. You may want to check the active view, its Parameters, and Visibility settings, as well as any Plan Regions and their settings"

I have not a clue what the above means.  There is an PDF attachment.

I haven't tried XRAY as of yet.  I seems a bit expensive.  I'm glad there is a trial period.

I think you missed the point. I wasn't referring to XRAY. I was referring to the list of 33 things to check.
