Hi Everyone,
I am having some major trouble and my office cannot figure out how to revise this setting. We have elevations in this project that are showing through the exterior walls, even when it is on hidden line view.
The backstory: We inherited this model from another architecture office, and it has some settings our team is unfamiliar with. The most pressing issue is that some how, we have certain elements that show up and cannot be turned off. My first step after it not being readily apparent was to import our project settings from our template file's view template settings. I applied this view template to the views and the elements still show.
Key elements I've addressed:
- View template is our office standard- all template categories are checked.
- The model elements that show are a combination of both elements that the previous firm made, and new elements I've made - so it must be a view setting and not a manual override
- the surfaced in the elevation view are NOT transparent.
- The view template is set to hidden line
- I've tried consistent colors and rendered view and it all still shows the elements
- The clipping plane does properly extend into the building enough - the elements DO respond to the clipping plane, but the building shape is irregular so I cannot just shallow out the plane to just behind the wall
- They are NOT model lines drawn on top of the view using the linetype tool. They are selectable elements.
- There are no filters on the views
- I created a BRAND NEW elevation and they still show
- The elements showing seem to be category driven - stairs, plumbing fixtures, some doors, but it isn't consistent, and the stairs seem to be the most intrusive.
- The issue does not exist in another view orientation - meaning a plan view
- The issue DOES exist in section view - no view settings applied
Other than that, I am out of my mind trying to figure this one out. Anyone have ANY ideas?
Best,
Kevin
