Interface with Autocad Civil

Most Civil Eng's use Autocad Civil.   None that I've found use Revit Civil.   There are a lot of problems using their models since they use real-world co-orinates and project basepoints that are miles outside of the drawing limits.     We have solved by stripping their models like this... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nK6snx8vvy0&list=PLMxjwNMjYenRoStP_73yP0d54McnIUGVI&index=18&t=0s

I've seen this discussion.   https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/revit-ideas/use-project-base-point-and-site-location-to-locate-0-0-0-...   I think this still results in site plans that literally disappear into a pinpoint lost in zoom-extents void .

  1. Could this all be fixed by spec'ing that the CE should move their (real-world) project base point to inside the site somewhere?
  2. Other thoughts?
  3. Is there any solution within the Bim360 universe?  other Autodesk solution?

if you can get them to use the Shard Reference Point tool they can export out there locations data and it can hen be brought into Revit.
