Hate to tell you this... but you are going to have to update your computer.  Autodesk won't support Revit 2020 trying to be installed with Windows 7.

I would like to clarify that Revit 2020 is supported on systems running Windows 7 SP1.  Here is the exact quote from the Revit 2020 system requirements page: Microsoft® Windows® 7 SP1 64-bit, Enterprise, Ultimate, and Professional are supported but not recommended.

As far as this installation problem, it is most likely related to Microsoft Windows Hotfix KB4019990 for Windows 7 not being installed on this system.  Once that issue is resolved and .NET Framework 4.7 is able to be installed, the Revit 2020 installation should complete.

@Tony_Michniewicz: Are you aware of any issues with 2020.1? Specifically, with error dialog boxes not displaying properly?  Supposedly, this has been posted about several times, including here today @

User feedback and testing indicates that this issue is related to the Revit InfraWorks Updater 2020.1 add-in.  An updated version that includes a fix for this problem should be available in the near future.  Until then, the only known solution is to uninstall the Revit InfraWorks Updater 2020.1 add-in.
