In place void appearing yellow?

Hello,
For context I model existing conditions from point clouds. For a specific project I had to create a sloped parapet cap that hangs over slanted curtain walls (these parapet caps were modeled using wall sweeps). The parapet caps are unable to join neatly at the corners (due to different profile shapes), so I made an in-place void to clean it up (see images). The issue I now have is that the void is appearing yellow for some reason rather than invisible. Is there a way to fix this, or to change the object style of the void in some way (it appears yellow in all views, at all detail levels, etc).
additional context- The void was modeled in-place using two void extrusions. The work plane for each extrusion is a reference plane. When I select the void & click "Show related warnings", it tells me there's an instance of the in-place family not cutting host. But as you can see in the image, it clearly is cutting. Not sure what's going on there.
