Orbit using shift + scroll wheel suddenly does not work after recent upgrade to Revit 2026. I have a logitech mouse, I made sure drivers are updated and the scroll wheel is set to "middle button". What could be the issue?

no idea... but if you still have an older Revit installed, can you confirm the same mouse works there just to exclude the mouse? Or use a different mouse.

I've had mice where the wheel-click function "broke".

Two threads going on this... I'd be suspicious of other applications that provide mouse customization competing with Revit's default behavior. What kind of mouse are you using? Reverting to a different (MS default mouse driver) or older driver vs just using the latest can produce different results.

I use a 3D Connexion mouse and there are no differences in Revit 2022, 2024-26 on my PC. It has some button customization options but there has been no change for me across those versions of Revit. There are no mouse settings in File > Options other than the slightly related settings for Steering Wheel and View Cube. I don't see any settings in the Revit.ini that suggest a mouse should respond differently.

What about different (simpler) mouse or default (Windows driven??) settings for your mouse? Restarted PC?

Ah, here we go. An old plain mouse with a scroll wheel works as the orbit, but my Logitech ERGO M575 did not. According the Logi Options+ app, the device is up to date. So, I went into button settings, and under GLOBAL SETTINGS had to change the scroll to 'middle button' despite that setting being chosen for the Revit application.
