Importing Solidworks model into Revit

Hi,

I have some Solidworks (.sldprt) model files and would like to use them in my Revit file (most preferably Revit Family). Can't really find a way to do it properly and to see which format would be most editable after importing it in Revit (sat? dwg? dxf?).

I do not work in Solidworks...

Thanks in advance!

Save them to SAT files and import to Revit Family.

Please remember that most probably the geometry that you use to create the family would end up being 'dumb' geometry. You would be able to make better use of the parameters in Revit by modeling families from scratch and controlling them with parameters - besides getting less annoyed.

Have u tried BIMDeX SolidWorks to Revit Exporter. With that, you will be able to export your SolidWorks model to native Revit Family file with existing hierarchy and parameters maintained. Refer the below video
