import / link PDF - set default resolution above 72dpi

When I link PDF into Revit 2021 the default resolution is 72 dpi. This obviously is too coarse in most cases.

is there a way to change that default to a higher value so i don't have to  set that again for the next project?

It seems it remembers my last selection in a project. But I often start out importing one at 72dpi by accident first.

I was asking to make a value other than 72dpi the DEFAULT so i don't have to set that every time i link a PDF. it is clear how to set it, but not clear how set a default other than 72 dpi.

You need to set it once and it sticks in your Revit session until you close and reopen Revit.

I know. What I'm after is a DEFAULT change and it stays at a different resolution forever, even after I re-open Revit.

Ah! Since Revit holds onto the default during the session, maybe this default is something can be saved to the Revit.INI file.  Just a thought.

I'll look into this. I know nothing about INI files. but I fear, every time there is a Revit update (service pack etc.) that will be a new ini file.

Maybe it is easier to train myself to always change the setting... 🙂
