Import - Link Existing Revit Sheet

I have a model that is created for detailing walls in a seperate revit model (both 2D (linework-text) and 3D objects) . I want to import only the sheet I have created from this Revit file to the main design Revit, it can be a drafting view a legend or directly to the sheet. I have tried to export it to CAD and linked in the main revit file as a drafting view, however the liked file is not the sheet in the layout tab but the separate detail from Autocad model tab. Is there any other solutions? Using Revit 2017

@WA_Office you will have to export the layout ('exportlayout') to dwg from autocad. then it should combine everything into one dwg instead of the misplaced model space views. 🙂

import or link the cad file twice:

once to the sheet and once to the drafting view.

on the ribbon find INSERT - INSERT FROM FILE- INSERT VIEWS FROM FILE browse to the file where your views are

select the view or views in the window you want to bring into your working model (as drafting views) and then place them on the sheet as needed
