I am trying to take an AutoCAD Architecture file and import into REVIT 2016. When I import the file the walls disappear once linked? Is there a way around this or a way to make the file come in correctly?
Open the file in Autocad and find out where the model is in relation to the origin. It may be outside the view range when you link it into Revit.
Keep in mind Revit will treat the model just as a regular Autocad file. So depending on your view range you will probably see more linework than what you want to see. Your best option is to get floor plan views from ACA vs the entire 3D model.
Revit cannot read ACA DWG model. Either Export it to vanilla AutoCAD 3D DWG file, or IFC format, then link it in Revit.
I believe your issue is the 'walls' are drawn as Walls, 'Doors' as Doors and not linework or 3D solids.
To get this information into Revit simply
open the file in Autocad,
type AECTOCAD and export the file as a 2D cad file then the elements will appear in Revit.
