IfcExportAs/Export to IFC As/Export Type to IFC As not respected for several object categories

There is no mentioning of this in Revit IFC Manual 2.0 but the parameter IfcExportAs/Export to IFC As/Export Type to IFC As doesn't work for some object categories. Overriding should be possible no matter the category.

 

Categories that we often need to override, where IfcExportAs doesn't work, are:

  • Roofs
  • Curtain Systems
  • Wall Sweeps (when embedded into the wall  type they should 

 

When will this be addressed?

 

Wall Sweeps embedded into wall types are further more problematic since they are exported as individual objects, not as part of the wall. There's no way for us to control the naming nor the classifications of these wall sweeps and we struggle in complying with IFC requirements.
