I can't rename views in project browser

I can't rename views in project browser

Up until Revit 2020 was easy, just clicked on the view and rename it directly or choosing rename

But now in Revit 2021 it is imposible. I don't have either options

Could someone explain to me what do I have to do?

Thanks

Have you tried updating your Graphics card and Mouse drivers?

I can't rename views either. I was able to until recently. It's like the text field field loses focus.

See the attached GIF and you'll see what's happening (Revit 2021)

Thanks for showing us what is happening!

It definitely looks like that cursed cursor thing but on steroids. I hardly ever say this but it looks like something that Autodesk needs to fix.

As a workaround, you can probably use the properties pallet or a view schedule to rename.

Rob

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

Play with this User Interface setting.  What is your screen resolution and display scaling?

This just started happening to me as well.  Reinstalled Revit.  Didn't fix it.  Created a new file to see if it was the file and again, not working.  2019 and 2020 are still working just fine.

Tried changing the hardware acceleration setting on and off and it didn't fix it.

My screen resolutions set to the monitors' native resolutions, scaling is 100%.

I also tried disconnecting my external monitors and it still happens.

Just like @shawnchambers posted, it started happening recently, my original install of 2021 worked fine up last week.

Hi! Can you try updating Revit to 2021.1 version? May be it will help...

Good suggestion @PavelAnd  on the 2021.1 update. Unfortunately I installed and the problem persists.

We have another Revit user in the office that is running 2021 on identical hardware without this problem.

Mouse batteries?

Have you swapped out mice?

Nope.  Wired mouse.  And Revit 2020 and 2019 is working fine.

Weird... Can you rename the level in section?

Perhaps you need to update some hardware drivers...

Yes, can rename levels in a section/elevation view.

Also, I can rename sheets in the Project browser - as they bring up a dialog box to do that.

Definitely agree that it is weird.... and annoying.

It suddenly works again. Maybe a windows update? Maybe a computer cleaning ?

Thanks all for the help.

Sorry, that Revit.ini trick didn't work for the computers in my office affected by this glitch.

Can you give some detail on how to fix it with Dynamo / post a script / etc ?
