How to turn off 45 degree snaps

I want to snap a line to an endpoint but I can't because revit prioritizes a 45 degree angle. I've tried even turning off every snap except endpoints and I still does the 45 degree snap; and if I turn snaps completely off, then I can't snap to the endpoint... I google search this and I can't find anything. Hard to believe I'm the first person with this problem.

Yea like I said I tried turning off all snaps including that one, which was the most obvious one to try first, but still snaps to 45 degree.

Hallelujah! I figured it out just now. You have to press the tab button to cycle through snaps...

I'm trying to rotate text to a finer degree and can't.  Keeps snapping to the setting even if snaps are turned off.  So frustrating.  Spending 30 minutes just to rotate a text.

I'm having this same problem. All snaps are off and I need to roate a site plan reference approx 9 degrees. Revit still snaps to zero so I can't accurately rotate.

Again, all snaps (except endpoint) are off.

Do you know that you can assign the exact rotation by typing it?

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

This works for lines etc. but if you need to rotate text, select the text (or multiple texts), then use the "rotate" command (vs. the quick rotate handle). You are given the option to rotate around a new handle-usually at the center of the text.  Click on the handle and place it at the reference point around which you want the text to rotate.  You can then easily rotate the text to much finer degrees of precision.
