How to remove a line between two different elements that share a surface?

This is my first post on this forum so forgive me if I'm in the wrong place.

I have a fairly simple conundrum that I can't even begin to solve. The attached picture explains it. I need to get rid of a line between two elements (a "wall" and a "roof") that share a surface.

Is there a solution here?

There may be times where you may need both pieces of geometry to remain separate. In that case, you can go over the joint with invisible lines using the Linework override tool
