Is there a way I can tag apartments in floorplans and sections? I know how to do a colour scheme, but I want Revit to recognize the apartment name/number/area on the floor plans and sections.

create a view in a different phase.

create the (using room separation lines) the Apartment boundaries

treat the whole apartment as a room.

the apartments are only seen in the views of that Phase

the rooms are created in a later Phase

If your Rooms already have Apartment parameter (judging by your comment on Color scheme), then create a new Room tag type that shows Apartment name and use place it for one room in the middle of each Apartment. Make they Bold and big so they stand out.

Hi, I too want to place an "Apartment Tag" in the centre of an apartment in a normal floor plan, that marks

the Apartment number and displays the total area of all the rooms. (I don't want to use area plans).

I have a "department" field in all room tags  and I am naming each rooms "department" based on the apartment number. in a schedule I can show the total area of that apartment.

How do I make a tag that picks up the "department" of the room I am placing the tag on and displays the total area of the department?

A couple of ways:
- Create a Room schedule and filter/group by Apartment number, format it to look like a tag and place it on sheet.
- Use Spaces and Zones: Spaces for Rooms and A Zone of several Spaces for Apartment, the use a Zone tag.

Hi I would prefer to place it onto a plan view, so it updates everytime I change a room size. area / space plans don't work as I just want to calculate the total net area without the area of the walls.

in a schedule I can calculate the total area of that department, how do I get this calculated parameter into a

room tag that I can place on a plan view?
