How to model middle stair support above the treads

I'm attempting to model an as built staircase and on site they have the middle support modeled like (or as) a stringer similarly to the sides of a normal assembly staircase. So it's on top of the treads, rather than the typical below middle support. In an attempt to not have to model side by side staircases, what would you recommend? Can't provide image.

A middle support is a type property of the stair. Toggle it on.

I found that, but I'm trying to manipulate the properties to allow the middle support to be on top of the stairs (inverse from the bottom)

The middle support is on top of the stairs so you can trip over it? Got a picture? I'd love to see that get by code review. You'll have to consider model in-place for that I think...or possibly "fake" it with a railing.

middle support and has a guard railing on top of it, model in place would make sense.

Then it is technically two stairs.  Create one stair with 2 supports/railing and one with only one.
