How to make wooden columns ?

Hello, I have been trying to make the columns for this part of the building, but there is only steel, concrete ones. I already have other concrete and steel ones and when I duplicate it, it changes all of them. Thinking that duplicating would allow me to make different ones.

Did you already figure out all your other issues?

So, regarding this wooden column thing: it sounds like you are changing the properties of a Shared Asset.  Don't do that.

BTW: Do you know the difference between Instance and Type Parameters?  That might be a factor here as well.

For the roofing no, the roofing for the mail center I tried to make two roofs separate but it does not look connected.

Are you being serous here? You are showing me an image that is incorrect in your assessment.  That is an image is found on a PDF of a Sheet that you posted on another thread. Nowhere in the RVT file you posted is there a View that corresponds with what that image shows. So, what's the point?

The reason that image for the is the roofing plan for the mailing center, it does not look like that in the  rvt file because I am still working on making it look like that.

Why don't you just load wood column family in from the library?

I see in the family Lumber Columns, is it this one?

My apologies this is my 5th consecutive month working on Revit since 2019, still working on it.

Yes. Lumber is wood.  Make sure you load the family from Structural Columns, not Columns.

Where do you find the structural columns, I clicked on structural but it does not look like the one you have.

I just looked and guess what, @jgarciacorpus69...I have no wooden columns either!  Only brick, granny floral wallpaper, chrome, grass (nicely manicured; no brown spots) and Jell-O.  Don’t know what flavor though.  Looks like grape.

Only half-kidding here.

Maybe I could update the Column and just edit the material in project properties as a wooden material ? But when I do that and want to set it up to the plane I want it does not allow me because it is above the plane of where I am trying to place the column at.

Pay attention to the Options Bar when placing Columns.
