Items that should be unseen in a section view

Hi,

I have made a super family of a bathroom, loaded it onto a project, and have created a section on the cabinet looking away from the bath tub.

But in the section view, I still see the bath tub even though it is not supposed to be there. Is there some settings in the "edit family" that is causing this. I have attached both the plan view & the section view.

I would appreciate any suggestions. Thank you!

Sorry, how do I make the nested family shared?

I try to choose "shared parameter", but I'm unable to click ok & apply. Should I select the bath tub, click edit family, and make my changes there? Or can I just do this in the edit mode for the whole super family itself.

Thank you!

Edit all nested families in your super family make them Shared.

There are several posts with the same question in the last couple of weeks.

First of all, that's a SHARED PARAMETER in your screenshot. That has nothing to do with making a Family Shared.  To make a Family Shared, you open the Family and check the "Shared" checkbox in the Properties. Afterwards, you need to RELOAD the Family into your "SUPER-DOOPER" Family and then RELOAD your "SUPER-DOOPER" Family into the Project.
