how to keep or change the value when copy groups in Revit

Question content: Question 1) Question 2)

I'm working as a group on the standard floor model during apartment housing project with Revit.
I made a separate level for each "building".(building named as 101,102,103,104...)

If the 3rd floor of building 101, building 102 and building 103 are the same

When I copy Group '101 102 103 3rd floor' to the building 102 3rd floor level after working at the building 101 3rd floor level

Question 1) When the group  is copied to the 102 third-floor level,  constraint level of the elements in the group is not fixed and moves to another random level with the same height.

I'm wondering if this problem is caused by copying groups or by overlapping levels (each building has a separate level so the levels overlap). Is there a workaround for the latter?

Question 2) I'd like to set the names (e.g. 101, 102) as instances of elements in the group. Is there a way to set up instances where I can have separate names within the same group?

There are several approaches here, depending on the project.

1: You could create a standard Revit model for that apartment and link it to the master model with the 3 buildings.

Or better yet,
2: If each building (101, 102, 103) has separate levels, perhaps these should be separate models.
You can save the apartment group to an external file and upload it to each building whenever there are changes.

Or,
3: If the complex of buildings isn't very large, perhaps you shouldn't have a separate level for each one and work with level offsets for each building.

As you can see, the approach will depend on the type of project and what best suits your needs for working with the models.

Thanks for your advice.
This project is managing for 30 buildings, and they are just seperated for Architecture model and Structure model.
I'm not sure if this Project is appropriate to make model files for each buildings.
Your advice was helpful. Thank you.

I suspect that the objects constraints and the methode of copying are the main problem. Best practices for model groups want to avoid having constraints to reference plans (such as levels) or to other geometry not included in the model group (such as a wall junction). When copying the group from one location to another, Revit searches to re-create or re-attach to the original objects and may assign the new constraints differerently.

Another best practice is to ensure that copying is done from a vue with a clearly defined reference level to a second view with the new reference level. When you have overlapping levels at the same elevation in 3D view, a paste or copy to level may be buggy. I would suggest your copy from a view created with the level the group is hosted to then pasted in a view with the reference level of the target building.

Not sure what you mean by separate names within the model groups that have the same "group name". What members of the group have names that you want to be different?

Hope this helps,

For question 2, you can create text parameters, assign them to the category you need, select instance parameter, and make sure to select "values can vary by group instance."

Back to the first one, I personally worked in a project with 50 single-family homes. All 50 buildings were almost identical, and what we created was one model for the "typical" home, linked to a single model with the site plan.

Later, with the modifications to each plot, we duplicated and modified each variation in its own model, all linked to the site model.

In other housing projects, for example, the entire architecture was in the same model, and we used different groups depending on variations in the facades or interiors of the apartment.

On the other hand, what @lucdoucet_msdl says is an idea to keep in mind. You can add a reference plane within the group and attach the walls to that plane, for example, but be careful! Too many reference planes can affect the model's performance.

Thanks for your advice. I wanted to take advice from whom made several housing buildings. As you mentioned, reference level is hard to control when I modify some elements.
