I am trying to inset a family (.rfa) file into a Revit project, but have had no luck.  It is named C09-Conceptual-Mass-Finished.rfa.

Per the book's instructions you need to download it from the book's web page.

Once downloaded...Insert tab...Load Family...select the downloaded family.

Accepted solution

After you insert a family into a project, you still have to place it.  Go to the Architecture Tag and select Component and find the family in the properties window and then place.
